In Chinese mythology, the Qilin is a symbol of good fortune, prosperity, and long life. When this mythical creature appears on the slot reels, it's more than just a symbol – it brings with it enormous multipliers and the potential for incredible wins. That's exactly why Ways of the Qilin is so popular at Ok Baje. This game isn't just meant to be played; it's meant to be felt.
What Is Megaways?
Regular slots have a fixed number of paylines. The Megaways system works differently — reel height changes randomly each spin, ranging from 2 to 6 symbols. This means the number of ways to win shifts with every spin, and at maximum height you get up to 217,728 possible winning combinations.
That unpredictability is what makes Megaways games so thrilling. You never know how tall the reels will be on the next spin, which keeps the excitement alive with every single one. At Ok Baje, this feature works seamlessly on both mobile and desktop.
How Do Cascades Work?
The most exciting part of the Qilin is the cascade mechanic. When a winning combination lands on the reels, those symbols disappear and new ones drop down from above. If the new symbols form another winning combination, the cascade triggers again. This way, a single spin can deliver 8–10 consecutive wins.
The multiplier increases by 1 with each cascade — so the first cascade gives 1x, the second 2x, the third 3x, and so on. In the Free Spins round, this multiplier never resets; it keeps building throughout the entire round. That's Qilin's biggest trap — and its biggest opportunity.
How to Get Free Spins
Land 3 or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels to trigger Free Spins. 3 scatters award 8 spins, 4 award 12, 5 award 15, and 6 award 20. Any additional scatters landing during the round add extra spins.
In the Free Spins round, the multiplier starts at zero and increases with every cascade — and it never resets. If you'd rather skip straight to the action, Ok Baje also offers a Buy Bonus option that lets you purchase the bonus round directly for 100x your regular bet.
